Book a free first session.

You book a 30-minute first session on this site. The booking is free; no card is taken. The student brings a past paper or current homework. We work through it together for 20 minutes, then leave 10 minutes for a quick call with a parent.

After the first session

I’ll tell you (parent or student) honestly whether I think ongoing sessions would help. If I think someone else would be a better fit, I’ll say so and try to suggest someone. If we agree to continue, we book a regular weekly slot from there.

Between sessions

I don’t set homework on top of school. School already sets enough. What I do is suggest one specific past-paper question or topic to look at before our next session if there’s something we left hanging.

Communicating with parents

If the student is over 16 and the working relationship is with them, parent updates are optional and only with the student’s agreement. If the student is under 16 or new to tutoring, I send a short note to a parent after every fourth session.

Payment

Weekly sessions: paid weekly or monthly by bank transfer, after the session. Packs (exam-prep and intensives) are paid upfront. The free first session is free.
