How I look after your data.
Short version: I hold the minimum I need to teach the student and bill the parent.
What I collect
The student’s name, year group and the topics we’ve covered together. The parent’s name, email and (optionally) phone, for invoicing and updates. Brief session notes (what we covered, what to work on next).
Why I collect it
To teach the student, to invoice the parent, and to make each session build on the last.
How long I keep it
Active student records: until two years after the last session, then deleted. Parent contact details: same.
Who else sees it
No one. I do not share student data with anyone, including the student’s school, without explicit consent.
Students under 16
For students under 16 I take the parent’s consent to hold the student’s data. Either parent or student may withdraw consent at any time, with the practical exception that I will need some session notes to do my job.
